Counter Full-screen Giant Step?

Simple question; Why can't Val counter Giant Step from full screen with Acquisitive Prescription or Countervenom?
 
It probably counts as a hit grab.

A better question: Why would you think you need to counter full-screen giant step?
 
It's a projectile, you can't counter projectiles. Bella can reflect the shockwave though, it's pretty funnn~

cause its cool as hell to do that.....why would you NOT do that if you could?
 
I dunno, I just wanted to know why it's not possible. I don't even play Val, it just seemed like something she should be able to do (whether it's practical or not).
